Our Story
Gallery Negev was founded to give contemporary art a permanent home in Israel's southern capital — a place where desert light, cultural diversity, and artistic ambition converge.
Be'er Sheva sits at the gateway to the Negev — a city of resilience, innovation, and growing cultural energy. Gallery Negev channels that spirit into a program of exhibitions that honor local identity while engaging with global contemporary practice.
Our 850-square-metre space on HaAtzmaut Street hosts rotating exhibitions, artist talks, and educational programs throughout the year.
Mission
We present emerging and established artists whose work speaks to the present — politically engaged, formally inventive, and deeply connected to material and place.
Vision
The Negev's vast horizons, ancient geology, and shifting light inform our curatorial lens — not as nostalgia, but as a living source of creative inquiry.
Community
Free admission on opening nights, school partnerships, and accessible programming ensure that contemporary art belongs to everyone in Be'er Sheva and beyond.

The Space
Designed to frame the extraordinary quality of Negev daylight, our galleries feature bone-white walls, polished concrete floors, and carefully calibrated track lighting. Two main halls, a project room, and an outdoor sculpture terrace accommodate works of every scale.
Whether you encounter a monumental installation or an intimate series of works on paper, the space is conceived as a quiet frame — allowing the art to hold the room.
Join us for an opening night, a guided tour, or a quiet afternoon among contemporary works.
